Description

The Grivel G22 Plus crampon is a modern and light crampon for technical mountaineering and ice climbing.

This special Nimsdai version comes with two replaceable, super-durable Katana front points in ballistic steel. The crampon can be used in conditions of steep ice and technical mixed routes and difficult north faces. It features 12 points and is used by climbers who prefer the stability of the two points compared to the mono point.
The position of each point is designed to provide greater stability in all climbing positions and on all forms of ice and technical terrain.

Equipped with the famous Grivel proactive Antibott system both on the front and on the back.

Born in Nepal, Nimsdai Purja had a distinguished 16-year military career, of which he spent 6 years as a Ghurka and 10 years with the UK Special Forces (SBS). He has since become a truly historic mountaineer, accumulating an ever-growing list of record-breaking summits alongside many high-altitude rescue missions. - nimsdai.com

Nimsdai Purja on the G22 Plus:
“When you spend 11 months of the year on the mountain you need to have kit that works. These crampons are designed and tested on the big mountains and put through the harshest and most technical challenges such as on K2. That means we know the importance of things like: how easy are they to get on and off in gloves? How secure and versatile are they? These have been designed to be able to slip the boot toe into the front, clip onto the heel and tie with a strap around the ankle. They are very light but sturdy and are perfect for use ice climbing or traversing snow. In the mountains you need multiple-purpose gear that works – buy the best, buy the gear that’s been tested to the extreme.”
