The quintessential layer for all high output aerobic activity, the Northwest Alpine Black Spider Hoody is crafted from Polartec® Power Grid®. The Black Spider Hoody will keep you warm while working hard but it is light enough to prevent overheating. Featuring majority flat seams this layer can be comfortably worn against the skin or, depending on conditions, can be worn over a light shirt. Use it as a standalone piece for crisp fall days rock climbing or trail running; it can also be worn as part of a layering system when alpine climbing or on a backcountry ski tour.
The arms are cut long enough for climbing and the torso is long enough to stay under your climbing harness. A balaclava style under-the-helmet hood, thumb loops, a quarter zip, and small chest pocket round out the features on this minimalist layer.
