Ultra-tough with core/sheath connection and durable sheath
Technologies keep advancing. The Master 9.7 with TeFiX technology is even more safe and durable than its older brother. Permanent connection of core and sheath ensures that the sheath cannot slip. The rope is much more resistant to mechanical damage thanks to SBS construction of the sheath. The four-layer structure provides a high level of safety and excellent wear resistance.

TeFiX patented technology permanently bonds the sheath to the core. It prevents from any slippage between these two basic rope parts. This particular feature was reached by adding a special material between core and sheath. This extra material is later also processed so that the bond is flexible and strong. The rope has a 0% sheath slippage, much longer lifespan, and better handling. SBS Technology:
SBS - Simple Braid System - is a system in which each strand is plaited independently into the sheath, providing a smoother, more compact surface than a sheath made by the usual tandem system. SBS ropes generate lower friction forces and are more resistant to abrasion and damage due to abrasion when in contact with the rock surface. The compactness of the sheath reduces the penetration of small particles between the fibers and thus reduces the damage to the inner structure of the sheath and the entire rope. SBS ropes are more pleasant to the touch, handling of the rope is easier, the rope "runsin. better and is perfectly flexible. Due to the lower friction, the ropes are slipperier and faster in belaying devices, therefore it is useful to have experience in belaying techniques.
