Rogen Tent

Rogen Tent

We have a pretty sweet storefront in Eugene that's always putting a new tent on display. Only makes sense that we share their selections with everyone else. This week: the "Rogen" Looks like a nice spot for a nap… It's falls into Hilleberg's "Yellow Label" category which means it's designed mainly to be lightweight, and meant for use in warmer climates and out of the snow. It could be considered a lightweight version of the Allak or Staika. The inner tent connects to the fly with plastic loops and toggles A shorter crossing pole in the roof keeps the interior side walls steep for maximum useable space inside somewhat like the Hubba Hubba or the Double Rainbow. The red and yellow combine to make an inviting interior Enough room for two, and each with their own vestibule. Perfect. Reinforced loops meet strong guylines and have a line runner child. And that's how Hilleberg makes new products. You can *sort of* see how the fly doesn't quite reach the ground. Yellow series tents are built this way to improve ventilation, but it's also why Hilleberg suggests against using them in the snow. You can raise or lower one side of the fly to increase ventilation or storm protection. Takes about 20 seconds. The roof extends just beyond the door for a drip free entry If one thing can be said about Hilleberg's design team, it's that they know the small details separate a good tent from a favorite tent.Disengage red toggle at each pole-holder to remove inner tent with fly pitched. Stakes necessary. A dizzying, whirlwind Rogen tour The Rogen stands proud in our storefront. Stop by if you're in Eugene.
