    • How much louder is it than the iPod
    • The Rock-Out Portable Speaker is quite a bit louder than the iPod (2-3 times louder), and it's also louder than the iPhone 5 (by about 1/2), but the sound is much more full and there is considerably more bass. So, it's louder and it sounds noticeably better.

These speakers are surprisingly loud. At first I thought they would be not very loud and not have a good sound quality. I have played many different types of music on it: gangster, hippie, pop, and oldies. They all sounded great. I have taken the speakers with me to many outdoor activities/festivals and everyone that hears them is in awe of how well it exerts the sound.

Also, another nice feature is that you can connect multiple speakers together and create an even louder sound. Although it is pretty loud on it's own. There is also an option to buy the solar panel to charge it, which is very helpful when camping.

Rechargeable is nice, so you don't have to keep buying more and more batteries.

I do agree with the previous review though, as they are not as nice as Boss speakers. But for the $40.00 spent, they are quite amazing.

The sweet sounds of simplicity Review by ashredflash

I love these speakers! I really like that I can use them at home or while camping, without a bunch of wires hanging all over the place. I can tuck my ipod inside and it's completely self contained. I've never been a fan of huge space consuming stereo systems with several remote controls, so this is sweet simplicity. I can take the speaker with me wherever--at home in the kitchen when I'm cooking, or the bedroom for some tunes before falling asleep. You can hook it to a laptop to watch a movie anywhere. The sound is really good considering the size. Of course it's not going to sound as good as Boss, but for $40 it's pretty dang good. The recharge time is fast and plays a long time on one charge.
