Product Reviews

Great Boot! Maintained weather/waterproofness long term and in all conditions. Climbed well too.
I work full time as an alpine guide in the Pacific Northwest. (Mount Hood, Baker, Rainier, North Cascades) As a result I spend a lot of time climbing the cascade volcanoes as well as hiking in the rain and snow. Historically most of the boots I've used have only maintained their waterproofness for a few weeks of work. (Sportiva Trangos, Trango Extremes, Nepals) I was pleasantly surprised that the Tower's held strong throughout the whole season and my feet stayed dry in all conditions. Additionally, they were terrific on steep snow, rock and ice and despite the daily grind of french techniquing 30-40º snow, my ankles didn't blister or get worn out. Lastly, some of the work objectives for the summer required 5 to 13 mile approaches over varied terrain (Shuksan, Middle Sister, Olympus) and the Towers were light enough to wear on grueling hikes without turning my feet into hamburger and saved me from having to carry an extra pair of shoes for the approach.
