- One of the best things I ever did in my life!
- The first time I bought this bag was in 2000 or thereabouts, for European touring. A couple of years later I had a problem and WM solved it by sending me a new bag. And years later that bag was stolen and I had to buy another one - HAD to because there is NO other replacement for this indispensable item. Early in the 2000's I had this bag at a concert in Caiscais, Portugal - because it packs down so small I put it in my day pack for emergencies. I whipped it out and kept myself and a very grateful portuguese lady warm in spite of those gusty winds that chill that part of the country being on the farthest western part of Europe into the Atlantic. At that time I wished that they made a jacket, and they answered my wishes a year later by producing their first flight jacket, which I bought, which was also, eventually stolen and which I have replaced with the flash jacket because the hood is useful to me in the winter. I have actually survived several winters in the midwest riding a bike and using metro services dressed entirely in flash pant and jacket with an over-jacket in more cold and I am convinced that again there is no substitution - and you look sharp, besides. I go on the metro services and everybody wants my pants. And I explain who makes them and that they are a bit pricey but considering these products stand the test of time and have been complimented by excellent customer service ... you could buy 10 pairs of cheap inferior product for 10 years and be cold or buy two of these pants in the same amount of time and I bet you would actually save money. I can not sing praises enough for this company. The price stings a bit. But as my niece once put it, you can spend 10 dollars on a good wine or 24 dollars on a memorable bottle of wine and the moment is unforgettable ... be warm in WM is a similar feeling.
