Price Value Quality This bag kept me warm in the snow covered Sierra Nevada range in June, the Canadian Rockies in August, and the Boundary Waters in September.
The hood and draft collar add noticeable warmth to this bag but at the same time don't make the bag feel too clastrophobic.
I slept outside on multiple occasions and woke to a layer of frost covering my bag but was still toasty warm inside. It was on evening such as these as well as when a layer of dew and not frost coated the bag that I noticed the microlite coating that helps repel water. The bag dried out quickly and the down never began to clump. Oh yeah, then there was the time the wind blew it off of a dock where I had it airing out and it landed in the lake, but hardly soaked up any water at all by the time I cursed and ran over to pull it out.
Bottom line, this bag rocks my socks off and I'm stoked for every penny I spent on it. If you like down and you like quality, buy this bag.(Posted on 9/21/11)
