Description
The Hilleberg Kaitum 2 is the ultralight version of the Keron 2, but with a bit more width and quite a bit less weight. It is ideal for trips where light weight is a higher priority than total strength, but where true all-season, all-weather capability is still a requirement. Its two door/two vestibule design affords extra comfort and flexibility, while its Kerlon 1200 outer tent fabric and 9 mm poles keep the weight to a minimum. While Kerlon 1200 is our ultra light fabric, its 12 kilo tear strength is far higher than most heavy duty fabrics. The Kaitum is, therefore, eminently suitable for year ‘round, above- and below-treeline use in all but the most extreme conditions, and is outstanding for long distance, long duration trips and short, super light adventures alike. The Kaitum’s Tunnel Tent design and ultra light weight make it ideal for mobile adventures, where you pitch and strike your tent every day. Thanks to its excellent space to weight ratio, the new Kaitum has already become very popular with all-season backpackers, ski tourers, and climbers, since it is super light yet still all-season strong. Similarly, bicycle and paddle tourers appreciate both the low weight and low volume package the tent stuffs to, and taller users will find the Kaitum’s plentiful floor space and vertical entrances, and vertical walls a roomy pleasure. Because of its two door/two vestibule configuration and its ultralight materials and construction, the Kaitum provides a stunning balance of super light weight, high strength, and overall comfort. It is equally at home on long or short trips in any season and in all but the very worst conditions.

Having tried several tents, I have finally settled for the Kaitum GT. Extremenly roomy, very light, lots of great details, the quality is outstanding. Have used it for long winter hikes up in the mountains and Norway, and used it for several very rainy trips this summer.
This the tent is top class!!
