Good purchase Review by Annette S

Picked this up on sale for a very good price. I have done extensive research on mattresses for an adventure up and around Kathadin in Maine next year. I cannot comment on it's performance in the field yet, however, I have back issues and I tried on a hard slate floor and I found it very comfortable. I was worried about the size but it deflates and packs into its compression sack easily and it is not excessively bulky (although I might have gone with a regular instead of a long considering my 5' 5" frame) The extra inches are a waste for me. It is also fairly lightweight, I am sure there are lighter models but for my comfort both in sleeping and carrying it was definitely the right purchase. I have some reservations on an inflatable and it being a second so I ended up buying a repair kit just in case. (didn't come with purchase) I should also purchase a valve replacement kit for it but both the repair and valve kit are pricey and the valve will have to wait. I deflated and inflated several times and left it inflated to the extreme for days and it held air. The only reason for it being a second must be it's inconsistant color which is a non issue for me. Seems all these "necessities" are over priced but backcountrygear was the most reasonable for this matt.

Good purchase Review by Amanda E

I purchased the small for myself (5'8 female) for backpacking and really appreciate how super light weight it is. Since the small size is pretty short, my legs didn't get cushioned, but I don't find that necessary. It is quite comfortable for such a thin/lightweight mat. Self-inflating is a nice feature and it's also easy to roll back up and put it in the carrying bag. Quality seems good.
