Petzl - Tikka XP (Spring 2015)

The Petzl Tikka XP is designed for all scenarios encountered outside. With multiple beams, it offers comfortable proximity lighting, allows movement, and provides long-range vision (110lums, 65 meters). The headlamp also has a Boost mode (140 lumens, 70 meters), offering temporary access to maximum power, and red lighting and strobe mode, usable at any time to signal one's presence. Constant lighting technology means that the brightness doesn't diminish gradually as the batteries are drained.

Product Reviews

Versatile headlamp for your $$$
The Tikka XP headlamp provides variable light output settings while conserving battery power. A 'reserve' mode is available when battery life is scarce. A 'boost' mode is available for short-term maximum lumens. One negative aspect I've noticed is the lack of swivel angles looking downwards (cooking). Overall, a solid headlamp for the $$$$.
