Osprey - Exos 58

The Exos 58 from Osprey is a top loading technical backpack designed specifically for superlight backpacking and thru-hiking endeavors. Since its introduction in 2008, the Exos Series has become a standard on the Appalachian Trail and with ultralight enthusiasts not willing to sacrifice comfort. The AirSpeed™ suspension, torso-specific sizing and ergonomic design all contribute to bridge the gap between comfort, fit and light weight. The Spring 2014 redesign benefits from Osprey’s never-ending search for the latest technology in materials and hardware as well as innovative design. The comfort and support of the harness and hipbelt are drastically improved. Updated materials and hardware provide a lighter weight pack, and the lid, key straps and attachment points are all removable.

Wanted a smaller pack for walking a section of Camino de Santaigo.
Walked 115+ km with no issues. Easy to grab water from side pocket. Ventilated back was very nice. Belt and shoulder straps were comfortable. Detachable top section came in handy on transit to and from the Camino. Fit easily in carry on compartment. All is well. Review by Victor W

I used this pack all last summer. Carried loads of up to 34#'s comfortably. The belt and suspension system are worlds apart from other so-call ultra-light packs that lack proper support with weights over 10-15#'s. This one is by far the best. Review by Gear Goddess
