- its ok...
- I'm kinda picky about pillows...I purchased this pillow after trying an inflatable one and one stuffed with memory foam pieces. I like that I can adjust the firmness. I like that its a little wider than a lot of camp pillows, I like the velvet soft cover on the one side. I have used this a few times this summer camping/backpacking. I have had some problems with it. The first one was an oversight on my part. I had also purchased a Nemo Rhapsody Women's sleeping bag, and found out the pillow is too long to fit in the hood pocket in the sleeping bag. The regular DOES fit, I discovered, and is exactly the same as the luxury except for aprox 3-4" in width. It does NOT have memory foam in it as claimed. It is standard soft foam. The air nozzle sticks and is hard to pull open/push closed (the clerk at the store even struggled with it but finally got it to work). The nylon backing has a bungee cord zig-zagged across the back to stuff or whatnot under it, but on my Thermarest NeoAir mattress, it is too slippery and I'm having to relocate it off the tent floor during the night. I did remedy this by tying a piece of rope through the bungee cord and around my air mattress which helps keep it in place. So its better than several others I've tried, but not quite worth the price. It needs some design updates and the promised "memory foam" included.
