MSR - WindBurner 1.0L Stove System

MSR's WindBurner windproof personal stove system delivers superior all-weather performance for 1 or 2 backpackers. You'll have a hot meal or cup of coffee in no time flat, even in cold, windy weather!

Windproof: Primary air combustion and built-in heat exchanger allow the WindBurner stove system to operate flawlessly in conditions that shut other stoves down.

Stove System Convenience: Integrated design and compact pot offer improved usability for solo travelers, personal meals and minimalist trips.

Reactor Technology: The WindBurner uses the same technology that makes the Reactor stove a top performer in boil times and fuel-efficiency. Boil 1 liter of water in just 3 minutes!

Radiant Burner Performance: Like the Reactor stove, the WindBurner system's radiant burner combines convective and radiant heating to offer performance and efficiency unmatched by conventional burners.

Add optional accessories to meet your needs. Add another pot, turn your WindBurner into a french press, or hang it from a big wall.

Check out the videos to see the WindBurner in use!

Haven't tried this in a gale yet, but at home it boiled water in under two minutes. I can definitely see carrying this on daytime ski trips to make a cup of soup for lunch because it's small and light.
Note that the piezo sparker will not light this, so use a flint type lighter like the Strike Igniter from MSR. Review by Thomas W

MSR has outdone themselves on this one. This compact stove is unaffected by the wind and boils in no time. Saves fuel, and my favorite stove so far from any company Thanks MSR. Review by trailer

" quick boil " & " wind resistant " are true and beyond my expectation.
But too heavy for personal camping .
This burner can not be used for other pot.
and must be carefull of Carbon Mono oxide "CO" inside your tent. Review by Hajime K

I just received The new MSR Windboiler and couldn't wait to weigh it on the scales. Out of the box it weighs 16.6 oz, with a 110 g canister it weighs at 24 oz. I fired it up and it sure is nice, much lighter than my MSR XGK and combined 11/20 oz fuel bottle, and no more waiting 8 minutes for the stove to heat up. I also gone the route with the alcohol stoves and I'm tired of the quirky PITA they are. I like the "Right Now" that this stove offers. Review by Overkill-Hiker
Cook system competition heats up...

This stove beat my expectations by a wide margin. It's lightweight and sturdy, but the game changing performance in the wind really sets it apart from the competition. We boiled 20 oz. of water in almost exactly three minutes...in front of our giant shop fan! Another canister stove tested at the same time would not stay completely lit. At a full boil, the stove's tough fabric exterior is still cool enough to handle, and the plastic ring at the stove's base stayed downright cool to the touch from all the airflow. That helped me avoid an unintentional burn from my (impatient) disassembly...it's a winner! Review by Smiley
