Product Reviews

You probably don't need a Guardian...
I was looking into buying the MSR Guardian, but I couldn't justify dropping three and a half bills on a water filter. Especially when most of the fresh water where I live is pretty safe already. So I bought this SweetWater system and it's been perfect for me. I've filtered some very questionable water sources, and it always comes out clean and fresh tasting. It's pretty compact when it's put away, and it's not heavy at all. The handle looks a little flimsy, but it hasn't failed after about 100 liters of filtering (approx. 7500 strokes). The Guardian is certainly an impressive piece of engineering, but unless you need to be able to filter mud puddles, get the SweetWater. Review by Andy H
