- Fantastic tent!
For my money, this is the best two person, three season tent, available today. I made the decision to go with the Hubba Hubba NX due to several factors.
First, I was looking for light, without sacrificing size. This tent will comfortably sleep two full size adults. The two vestibules provide ample gear storage. There is plenty of room to sit up inside the tent for less than perfect weather conditions. And you get all this for less than three pounds! At that weight it is still plenty light for a solo trip.
Next on the list was ease of setup. I set this tent up for the first time, in low light conditions, in about 5 min. With the single pole design, the clip system on the tent & fly, and the ability to dry pitch (fly only), there are few tents at any price that assemble this easily. I didn't even have to read the directions...but who does that?
And lastly, but not least important, true three season design is feature I sought out. The ability to dry pitch ensures that your sleeping compartment stays nice and dry in wet weather. And fully staked out this tent can handle even a torrential down pour. I do recommend picking up the footprint for rocky or wet conditions.
This tent is one of the most versatile backpacking/camping tents on the market. The price is more than competitive for the quality and features. And rest assured, with the durability of construction, this tent will see many great adventures.
PS: check out the "Gear Shed" attachment...I'm a sucker for attachments!
