- A great stove but a bit noisy..
- I have used it in my recent backpack camping. The set up is easy, control/simmering is easy, the acceptance of multiple fuels (including auto-gas) is a great value! Having said so, the stove is pretty noisy! In a nutshell, it is a great stove! I love it!
- This is an excellent stove.
- This is an excellent stove. (+) 1) One can actually simmer with it. 2) It very efficient in fuel consumption. With heavy use on a recent backpack trip, including melting snow and boiling watert for purificat;ion, it consumed 87 ml per person per day. Downside is it is somewhat bulky and heavy. However it makes up for that thru fuel effiiciency which saves carrying those extra fuel bottles. .
- Great backpacking stove
We have had this stove for a few years now. It is amazing, and we have taken it everywhere with us. The stove is compact and easy to set up, but is also really stable for boiling in bigger pots. It has a twist valve for flame control and you can go from a slow simmer to a jet engine in seconds.
This thing puts out a ton of heat when you need it. Another advantage is the use of refillable liquid gas canisters. This way, when you come home with extra fuel in your container, you can top it off for next time. If you use a cartridge stove, chances are you are not going to want to waste the space in your pack carrying a canister with an unknown amount of fuel left.
We love this thing, and highly recommend it as a backpacking stove.
