  • Is this jacket tailored to fit a tiny waist and flared hips, or is it a boxier, roomier cut? I can't tell from this photo. Thank you!
  • Thanks for the question. The Frost Smoke Parka is mostly a boxy/roomier cut, with just a little bit of flair. It's definitely not a dramatically flared jacket with a tiny waist. Thanks!

  • Is this jacket as warm as the Mammut hooded Miva? The description I've seen characterizes thie Frost Smoke as a down sweater, which makes me think that though it's 800 fill down, it's not very warm...can you advise please?

  • Thanks for the question. It's hard to compare the two jackets because we only have the Frost Smoke Parka in stock. From reviewing the specs, it looks like they'll be roughly the same warmth. The Frost Smoke does weigh less (11.5oz) than the Miva (13.4 oz), but the Frost Smoke has slightly higher quality down which insulates better for the weight than Mammut's 750 fill down. While I'm sure one is a little warmer than the other, it's pretty tough to say which. I can say that the MontBell Frost Smoke Parka is one of the nicest looking down jackets we have. Thanks!
