Metolius equipment is born out of respect for a sport loved by the people who work to make it, rock climbing.

Metolius is a unique collection of North American climbers who came together in the 1980s to push their personal limits at Smith Rock. They shared a passion for hard gymnastic free climbing, bouldering, and for exploration in the mountains and on big walls. They decided to design and build their own equipment, much of which was unavailable at the time. Other climbers took notice, and now Metolius is a respectable business and a brand name that has become synonymous with quality, safety, and design excellence.
