Quick Overview
Super Warm Mid-layer- Description
-
Significantly warmer and more protective than a fleece jacket, this insulated hoody is breathable enough to be used as a super warm mid-layer on frigid days and protective enough to be an outer layer while belaying or hanging out at camp. An extra thick dose of synthetic Coreloft™ insulates but packs small, and a light tricot underarm panel enhances breathability.

- Best lightweight belay jacket around Review by Julian

Price Value Quality Arc'teryx has a reputation for producing great gear with a correspondingly high price tag to match. Somehow, the Atom line has managed to buck their usual price point while being every bit the equal to the usual Arc'teryx quality, if not better. The Atom SV is the perfect light belay jacket for moderately cold conditions, and seems perfectly designed to be used in tandem with the Atom LT for a super high-performance combination of synthetic insulation. The fit and design are both superb and blow Patagonia's garbage bags (the Nanopuff and DAS) out of the water. I am so excited to wear this jacket in Ouray come December.
