Price Value Quality Similar to other reviewer, I had real problems with the fit of these pants. I have a pair of shorts from Montbell that I love in size L. So I ordered these pants in L and they were HUGE. Way too big. So I exchanged for a medium and the fit is much better. But the inseam is still way too long and the leg opening is WAY too much. I measured it at 9 inches. That's elephantine. That's way too much fabric flapping around down there around my ankles. I can't see my feet when climbing. Forget about riding a bike! I had to have them hemmed by a tailor to get the inseam down to a wearable length. Now I wish I had just returned them.

- Beware of Montbell sizing Review by Jim

Value Quality Price Received these pants and tried them on only to discover that the inseam was really long. I guess I hadn't paid complete attention to Montbell's sizing chart. They don't sell pants with different inseams. For each increase in waist size the inseam goes up. So if you have a larger girth you had better be at least 6'6" or you'll be dragging the cuffs on the ground. And if you're tall you had better have a large waist or the pants will never stay up. These pants seemed like they would be great if I could get them in the right size.
