Marmot has grown since 1977 when they tested the then-new Gore-Tex fabric under fire sprinklers and slept in industrial freezers to study the insulation of their prototype down sleeping bags.

Marmot is the oldest customer of Gore in the world outdoor market. Everything in the line incorporates Gore-Tex fabrications, including the down garments and all the sleeping bags.

The company has not changed much since it was founded by a group of friends and outdoor enthusiasts. It is still all about the highest quality performance product.
