La Sportiva - Nepal Evo GTX

The evolution of La Sportiva's Nepal EVO GTX has taken hardcore mountaineering boots to another level. The addition of a Gore-Tex® Duratherm lining makes the boot completely waterproof and warmer for high altitudes and extreme cold, along with a new breathable tongue for moisture management. The Nepal EVO will climb better than ever, thanks to the addition of the patented 3-D Flex™ ankle system hinge, an integrated anatomical elastic snow gaiter, and the 3.2mm+ silicone impregnated Idro-Perwanger Roughout leather with sticky rubber rands. The sole has a new tapered HP3 midsole with shock-absorbing PU inserts under the heel and the ball of the foot, and the new Impact Brake System™ is designed exclusively with Vibram® to soften impact on hard ground and improve traction.

Great Boot
I purchased a pair of these boots back in 2005 I think. anyhow they have been a great durable boot. I build powerlines for a living and have worked on hundreds of steel towers and the soles are still in good condition. they are a very warm boot even in light activity levels. I just purchased a new pair because my foot has flattened over the past few years and my toes were starting to get cold. I have had to go a half size up in all of my Sportivas. The boot is very robust and can take harsh treatment. I've had them on for days at a time during Ice storms and outside of a occasional sock change they kept me warm. I wear a medium weight Merino boot sock. my biggest advise is to make sure your toes have room.. Well worth the investment. Review by Justin
