- Great climbing shoe
- This shoe never fails! It's a wonderful fit and comfortable on the wall. I've used a bunch of different brands and styles and this one is the best I've found! Highly recommended.
- great beginner climbing shoe
This was my first shoe when I started climbing. It doesn't have a huge downturn which is great for new climbers.
It is hard to tell someone what type of shoe they should get because everyone has a different shaped foot and gait. So even though this shoe is a great fit for me, it may not be the perfect fit for you. I would recommend finding a local store to try them on at first and then purchase them through Backcountry Gear. If you are in a remote area that does not have climbing shoes or not a huge selection, then I would say to order a range of sizes to figure out which size fits the best to save the trouble of having to return one pair, get another size, return that size, and so on..
I normally wear a 6-6.5 in street shoes, and I actually went down to a size 5 (35 European) in these. They were a very tight fit at first, but I knew they were going to stretch out a bit since they are leather. They are now a comfortable fit for me.
