    • can you help me with the proper size? I would like to use a western Mountaineering Alder with summer coupler on top of two pads. So my ? is how wide is bag and coupler? I believe I have have two choices 2 20" ( 40" ) or two 25" ( 50" ) any way you can help would be great. THANK YOU
    • Thank you for the question. The summer coupler is roughly 44" wide and will accommodate two 20" wide sleeping pads. The bag itself is wider than 44" so it's a comfortable fit for two. Thanks!

    • With the pad being filled with down, is it recommended to store inflated? Or at least not compressed in the bag?
    • Great question! Storing any insulated sleeping pad compressed is not the best idea. The ideal way to store them is laid out flat with the valve open. Keeping the valve open will allow any moisture to escape over time and prevents the down from clumping. Thanks!

Great Mat from a Great Company Review by Jerry F

Nothing even come close to an Exped DownMat for comfort, warmth and ease of use. I have been using Exped DownMats for 16 years and they are excellent. I had a problem with one some years ago and Exped just sent me a new one. Backcountry Gear shipped promptly.
