- Great bag but heavier than advertised
- Got this bag some time ago and have now taken it on a number of spring glacier missions. Excellent bag, works very well. Only big bugbear is the fact that my bag was over 100g heavier than advertised on Western Mountaineering's website. Uncool!
- Sleeping like a baby
Fits perfect in my tarptent. hikers have been complaining about the sub-freezing weather since I hiked to Springer Febuary 24 to begin my A.T. 2013 hike to Maine. Seems everyone I started with dropped off, many complaining they were too cold at night. I seem to have stayed amazingly warm and comfortable. Even spent a Zero day in my Tarptent in my sleeping bag during the Big snow. I would recommend the silk liner to go with it.
Thanks for another great product

Questions & Answers
What determines which side the Zip? I am right handed
I love the look of this bag but I'm having trouble deciding which size is needed. I am exactly 5'6 which is the size small bag. But would this be big enough? Would a 6'0 be more comfortable? Or would the 5'6 bag be roomy enough? I'm athletic build.
Thank you for your question.
The user length listed refers to the internal length of the bag, from the point at which your foot would hit the end of the footbox, to the point where your head hits the inside, top of the hood. At 5'4", the short length would allow 2" of space either in the footbox or the hood, and should be a good fit for you. Hood coverage should not be an issue, and when the drawcord on the hood is cinched tight, it leaves only a small hole in the mouth area for breathing, with the rest of your face covered.
