Description
There's just no need for warm beer. It's a beautiful day in the park and you deserve to drink a cold one that's actually cold. Geez! So Timbuk2 has magically transformed their Classic Messenger into a fully insulated cooler. It's a bit Jeckyll & Hyde because it looks and feels like a messenger but performs like a cooler. Its waterproof TPU liner and total insulation keep the cold and the drips inside so you can stay outside. It even comes with a built-in bottle opener, has grab strap for easy lifting and a cross-strap for stabilizing heavy rides to the park. Brief history lesson: The first Chiller launched in 2009 and wore the colors of PBR. In 2011 they dressed the Chiller up as a Corona, complete with an embroidered lime on the strap. Now they pay homage to Oktoberfest by cloaking the Chiller in München’s blue and white. Prost!

Backcountry Gear gets it: camping and hiking gear should help get you out into nature while not weighing you down with what it takes to get there. Your outdoor adventure shouldn't be hindered by heavy kitchenware, overwrought backpacks, or complicated camping tents. Get equipped with the right gear, but not too much. It's about efficiency and versatility, minimum weight for maximum benefit. Backcountry Gear, where minimalism meets productivity.

Backcountry Gear knows lightweight backpacking is all about keeping things compact and sensible. Hiking gear should be sturdy, reliable, and lightweight. Camping tents should be constructed of lightweight, durable materials, and be easy to assemble. Kitchen kits should be featherlight and easy to clean. Trekking poles should keep you balanced. Accessories like medical kits should be comprehensive and intuitive. We understand, and we understand not every hiker is the same.

Our inventory has a backpack for every pursuit. We have ultralight daypacks, hydration packs, packs for kids, duffles, and child carriers. No one gets left out. We have dog packs, lumbar packs, dry bags, travel packs and luggage, courier bags, shoulder bags, and external frame backpacks. They’re all engineered by the best in their fields with features that make getting to what you need rapid and simple.

Backcountry Gear has reliable ultralight stoves and titanium cookware to make cooking a cinch and camping a treat. Canister stoves or liquid fuel stoves, we have one right for you. Boil water quickly with Jetboil's Sol and MSR's Reactor, or go ultralight with MSR's Micro Rocket and Primus' Express Stove. Keep weight down with ultralight titanium pots, pans, and utensils from Snow Peak and Evernew and keep going.

For multi-day hikes, Backcountry Gear has go-to water treatment options for every water source. Pump and be sure with MSR's Hyperflow Microfilter or Katadyn's Hiker Pro Microfilter. Or avoid chemicals and pumps altogether with gravity filtration systems from Platypus or UV sterilizers from Steripen.

Headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, Backcountry Gear has the best camping and hiking gear from the global industry leaders Osprey, Western Mountaineering, and Sierra Designs. We stock the best in sleeping bags, lightweight tents, and ultralight backpacks, too. When you plan for the outdoors, plan on BackcountryGear.com, your first stop for outdoor adventure.
