BallNutz are thin crack protection at its finest. Using a sliding ball/ramp concept, BallNutz will protect parallel sided cracks, flares and bombays from 3mm to 16mm. The three smallest sizes have a 2:1 expansion range resulting in unmatched security in chossy rock or expanding flakes and the larger sizes (#4&5) will make you wonder why you ever used tiny cams. While these units are excellent at clean aid (1st clean ascent of the Shield) they are also teriffic free-climbing protection where the cracks are thin and/or shallow. Use these instead of 00 or 0 cams for shallow placements, wide flares, directional stability and easy removal.
