Description
This new carabiner represents the latest in the evolution of Omega's Omegalite series. Now in it's fifth generation, they've answered climbers' needs for a carabiner that fits well in your hands, has a huge gate opening, and features a rope-friendly True Radius. Once again, they utilize their exclusive process known as ISO Cold Forging to build a hot-forged design at a reasonable, cold-forged cost. The Five-O frame is versatile and tractable. It is functional in any of your favorite gate configurations: straight, bent, locking or wire ... whatever your preference, it is, the Five-O fits the bill. It's large enough that you can work routes with it; grab the bottom carabiner on a draw and you can still clip your cord. For Ice Climbing, even bulky gloves don't inhibit your ability to clip it.

Trad climbers will be happy with the wide variety of cams and nuts we keep on hand for those looking to tackle technical pitches unmarred by bolt holds. Even mountaineering climbers can rest assured we have the harnesses and helmets they'll need for team expeditions that require being roped together when traversing snowfields or clipping onto guide lines on the Via Ferrata.

These products have been engineered from the best materials by the most respected manufacturers in the outdoor industry. It's about safety at all times. Trust a hold with active pro cams that expand into cracks from Black Diamond's Camalot C4 family or leave worry out of the game with a passive pro nut sized just right to slide into your crag from makers like Metolius and Trango. Backcountry Gear ensures everything has been tested, from every sheath of rope to the bags that hold them, as well as markers and hooks. All you have to do is find the route.
