This is a true wilderness tent for the backcountry traveler who wants a spacious shelter. The Nammatj GT is a great performing tent on wilderness trips, on lofty heights, and on any expedition in any season. Many regard it as the ultimate all-round tent because of its versatility, strength, low weight and spaciousness. Nammatj GT is the most copied tent in the world – and that is saying something! Having said that, not one of the copies has come close to the original Nammatj GT. Because of its versatility, the Nammatj GT is an ideal tent for people who demand the space and stability usually available only in heavier tents. The British outdoor magazine The Great Outdoors named the Nammatj GT a "Best Buy" when compared to several copies of this design. Three equally long poles in parallel pole sleeves with adjustable pole holders and peg loops make the Nammatj GT easy to set up. Linked inner and outer tent enable you to set up both simultaneously and make sure that the inner always is protected from the rain. A Nammatj GT requires only four pegs to pitch. You can easily detach part of the inner tent to enlarge the already very roomy vestibule. The outer tent on its own provides a great group shelter on lunch breaks. The inner can be used separately in warmer conditions. All you need for this are four separate pole holders. With the new entrance design for 2006, you have much more versatility. The outer door and backing no-see-um mesh panel now open from the side or bottom for entry and exit, and you can roll away and secure the outer door itself, leaving the mesh to provide bug-free venting. For convenience on winter trips, the mesh panel is completely detachable, and stuffs into its own mesh bag. For even greater flexibility, the outer door can now also be opened from the top. In warmer weather, this gives you the ability to customize venting through the main door's mesh. In snowy conditions, the top opening option ensures that snow and ice won't freeze the door shut, a possible problem in bad conditions. |
