The Nammatj is one of the toughest lightweight tents you can find. It handles easily in all conditions, and it defies any weather, season and environment. If you appreciate performance, stability, and low weight you will see this as an ideal tent able to stand up to the rigors of the weather at high altitudes, and on narrow ledges. The fabric used in the Nammatj is the finest available: Kerlon 1800 with an unparalleled tear strength six times that of ordinary tent fabrics. The Nammatj provides great performance and longevity. The Nammatj is first on the list with adventurous people who put the most extreme demands on their equipment. This tent has been used numerous times in the Himalayas, in Greenland, in the Andes, and in the polar areas. As a low weight tent, Nammatj exceeds expectations that are usually reserved for much heavier tents. One striking example of its performance is Sweden’s Ola Skinnarmo´s solo ski expedition to the South Pole with a Nammatj 2. The 3 equally long poles, adjustable pole holders, and peg loops make pitching this tent child´s play. Inner and outer tent are linked, protecting the inner against rain when it is being pitched in unfavorable conditions. Four pegs are enough to pitch a Nammatj. The inner tent can easily be detached and moved back if you need a larger vestibule. By carrying the outer on its own you can create a very light shelter for several people. The inner can be used separately if conditions permit. All you need are two pole holders per pole and guy-lines. |
