Few tents have made the impact on the tent world that our Nallo has. It is the ideal all-around, all-season, ultra light tent for hiking, biking, climbing or paddling trips. Even adventure racers have adopted this light yet sturdy tent as their shelter for the most demanding competitions.
The Nallo epitomizes the concept of “light but strong,” thanks to its clever design and innovative fabrics. The tent’s tunnel construction provides straighter side walls, maximizing usable space. At the same time, its higher front pole and lower rear one optimize overall space by putting the volume up front where you need it, and simultaneously reducing weight. And while the Nallo’s ground sheet and Kerlon 1200 outer tent fabrics are lighter than those found in our standard tents, both are still exceptionally strong – stronger, in fact than most other “standard” or “heavy duty” fabrics on the market. Still, the Nallo’s salient characteristic is its (light) weight.
But the Nallo is no mere “basic” tent. Its innovative outer tent entrance has a single, continuous zipper, which allows you to create a side entrance on either side or a front entrance. The inner tent entrance is backed with no-see-um mesh, and a snow-proof vent is integrated into the outer entrance panel. For 2006, Hilleberg improved venting options with an easy to use and extremely functional vent on the rear of the outer tent. Now you can roll up the outer at the foot end, which, along with a fabric-backed mesh vent on the back wall, affords more air flow and better condensation control.
