Granite Gear noticed enough alpine climbers using their ultralight vapor trail that they decided to make one that suited their needs a little better. Instead of using fabrics designed for being light instead of durable, they changed the entire pack over to a beefy High Tenacity 210D Cordura. They also added a Hypalon crampon patch to the front, Tool Loops to the belt and a fixed Voile-style cinch system to secure ice axes to the pack. This pack is still just a tad over a pound and a half. |
