- Great tent for backpacking Review by Patrick
-
Value Quality Price This is a great tent for backpacking or for limited car camping. I hike the AT quite often and it has served me well. Roomy enough for my son and I, perhaps even out 70 lb Golden Retriever. Just a little too tight for three adults, but certainly adequate for two with all gear. I would choose a larger tent if you intend to car camp with family or as a backyard tent for the kids. I will say that this is a well made tent, bombproof from the elements, and very light. Easy to set up and well ventilated, it's a wonderful tent overall.

Value Quality Price I've purchased or borrowed about every manufacturer of tent and never before came across a tent that I felt was a great purchase until the Copper Spur UL3. It's spacious and light. My wife and I backpacked for 45 days throughout the Southwest a couple months ago and the tent easily accommodated both our packs and still had lots of room to stretch out during the rain and snow. The vestibule was great for packs and cooking tent side. It's as light as a tarp tent yet it's self supporting which is necessary in the mountains and rocky deserts. Set up was done in under a minute and take down was a couple minutes. We look forward to many more treks with Agnes.
