- Thank you for the question. Tarptent uses SilNylon rated to 1200mm of water (about 1.7 psi).
From the Tarptent website: Silicone impregnated ripstop nylon is waterproof within "normal operating conditions." Exceptionally light, with room for three plus some gear. Extended front beak (standard) provides privacy, additional sheltered gear space and excellent storm protection. Extended sewn-in flooring clips to tent corners as needed to form cake pan enclosure.
