Please note that items smelling of cigarette smoke are not considered resalable. Shipping charges are not reimbursed. Please call us at 1-800-953-5499 for a Return Authorization number and instructions on returning the item. Returned packages will not be accepted without a Return Authorization (RA) Number.

If a product fails due to a manufacturer's error, the manufacturer's warranty will apply. Contact us and we will help you get your gear returned to the manufacturer for repair.

      Climbing Equipment Return Policy

For liability reasons and your personal safety, we cannot accept returns on any climbing hardware, ropes or slings at any time (excluding warranty situations or shipping errors). Please be absolutely sure of the items you are purchasing before submitting your order. Backcountry Gear will only accept returns on harnesses if tried on but never used. If you tie in, it's yours. Helmets may also be exchanged for fit and sizing. Helmets and harnesses must be returned in new condition with all tags and packaging. In the case of gifts, if there is any doubt, we recommend a gift certificate instead of purchasing climbing equipment.

Great new toy Review by Paul in the Tropics

I have been road-testing this hammock on a remote tropical island in the Indian Ocean. I use an Exped Synmat UL 7 LW inserted in the base. Hung between a couple of coconut trees it takes about 5 minutes to set up - including inflating the mat - and half that time to dismantle. I am 6' tall and find I fit comfortably but wouldn't want to be any taller. Hammock and mat combo is ultra comfortable, very airy with netting open and cosy with it shut.

Tarp is amazing but not had a lot of use yet in the dry season.

Simple to throw in a backpack and ride my motorcycle to a camping spot.

Local National Parks Officers are envious and seriously looking at as replacement for heavy tents that get visited by huge robber (coconut) crabs!

Five stars from me and I recommend it highly.
