Use this water resistant, highly compressible sleeping bag cover in a tent in wet conditions or as an emergency shelter in dry climates. Mummy-shaped, with a draw cord face closure, the UltraLite Sleeping Bag Cover is cut large enough to accommodate most standard length sleeping bags.
The Brooks-Range UltraLite fabric™ used is specially designed for Brooks-Range UltraLite products. This air-permeable, water-resistant ripstop nylon is incredibly strong and resilient for its weight! It is one of the lightest water-resistant, fire retardant-treated fabric available for this use. The Brooks-Range UltraLite fabric has an impressive strength-to-weight ratio and ability to withstand wind shear. The fabric's custom coating keeps the fabric waterproof to a pressure of 1 pound per sq inch (2 ft water pressure depth), which exceeds the pressure generated by a driving rainstorm. Due to the fabric's custom coating, it does not absorb water and the coating will not wash or peel off as it is impregnated into the nylon fabric. With use, the Brooks-Range UltraLite fabric will soften and become more pliable. Certain types of dry desert sand will stick. The Brooks-Range UltraLite fabric is highly flammable,so keep it clear of direct flames and all heat sources.
