- An insulated sleeping pad that gets the job done Review by nikosvswild

Quality Price Value The Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Pad is nice and simple. There isn't much to the pad beside a valve, insulation and fabric. The simplicity of this pad makes perfect for the trail and for someone who doesn't like a lot of bells and whistles. Sleeping on the Air Core Pad isn't like sleeping on your bed at home; however, you will get a better nights sleep then if you were on the ground. I find it easy to slide off of the pad in the middle of the night, but it is not enough to bother me. Due to having only one valve for inflating and deflating, it takes a little while to get all the air out, but once again not enough to ruin my day. What I like most about this pad is it's durability. The material has a sturdy feel to it and the seams are laminated. The synthetic insulation is another nice feature because blowing directly into the mat doesn't hinder it's performance. Although it would be nice to have a self inflating mat or a pump, it takes about two minutes to blow the mat up which is easy. All in all the insulated air core pad is a nice cold weather/all weather sleeping pad that will accompany me for nearly all overnights.
