- Extremely warm, very light, good quality, packs small Review by Lee

Purchased this to through hike the PCT. I am a male and purchased due to it's small size and best R value per once on the market. This is an OVEN and most nights I am able to use my sleeping bag as a quilt (unzipped). Good quality and noise level is not very noticeable. Great product for it's intended use. Used to carry a self inflating Therm-A-Rest backpacking, but due to it's weight it's only used for car camping. It's 20 years old with hundred's of nights and still works!

I am male but chose the women's version because I use a large "cushion" for my head anyway. The mat is warmer and therfore better than the men's version (R-Rating 3.9 instead of 3.1). It's very light and I have never experienced any problems on my trips (even winter camping). The one thing I never understood: People complain about some kind of noise / crinkling. I am not deaf but I never heard anything... ???
