- Thanks for the question. Yes, this lantern comes with one candle. One candle usually lasts about nine hours. It uses UCO specific candles (about 1" around and 4" long) that come in 3-packs. We sell the candles on our website, but they're commonly sold in most outdoor stores (they sell them at my local Bi-Mart).

Price Value Quality If it wasn't for my search for lightweight portable lighting, I might never have found these. To make it better, they are from right next door to where I live. Lots of great outdoor gear Made in the USA right here in the Pacific Northwest. The UCO lantern is awesome! I'm buying another so I can light my whole campsite gently with just two candles. At the same time, I can carry one with me to the restroom when it's dark and still have my campsite lit. In cooler weather it will be nice to have inside the tent to read by and create a little warmth before I turn in as well. Much more compact than a gas lantern, and no waste to dispose of after the candle is done. Well worth the money. Good for home emergency lighting as well.
