- great cookset Review by Marianne

Quality Price Value I've used this kit for over a year now, and it works great. Don't know why another reviewer says that the fuel canister doesn't fit inside the pot: I pack a small fuel canister, the burner (in box), windscreen, plus a folding stabilizer for the fuel can (purchased separately), a small box of waterproof matches, and a Handiwipe in my set. It will also hold the larger-size fuel canister, windscreen, and the burner by itself (not in protective box)--though it may protrude above the top of the pot rim, you can still nestle the frying pan lid over it and put it all in the roomy mesh sack. I find the 1400 pot very versatile--big enough to cook a stew for two, or make hot chocolate for 4 people, and the small frying pan works well, though the folding handle has a tendency to "pop" out, so it's best to grip it close to the edge of the pan. The burner allows for a true simmer so that actual cooking is possible, unlike many backpack stoves that only work well at full tilt (strictly for boiling water). Snow Peak gear is excellent in general, and this is a high-quality, lightweight cookset.

Quality Price Value Lightweight and affordable, the Snow Peak Trekker Kit is a great cookset for anyone from beginners to experts. Recommended for anyone looking for a lightweight and sturdy all-in-one cookset. Only real downside is that the gas canister can't really fit inside of the pot; however, it's a minor setback to a great product. Mainly recommended for boiling water and doing minor cooking for one person.
