Questions on Guide 10 Plus Mobile Kit

- Hello,
I have. Big smartphone (galaxy note 2) how long will it take to charge it? (Aprox) thanks - Great question. Goal Zero says it takes one hour to charge a typical smartphone. I'll go out on a limb and say their "typical smartphone" is something like the iPhone 4S. The Galaxy Note II has a 3,100 mAh battery, and the iPhone 4S has a 1,420 mAh battery, so it's safe to assume the Note II will take about twice as long to reach a full charge. Likewise, the Guide 10 will give your phone about half as many charges as it would a "typical smartphone". Thanks!

Quick Overview
Pocket-sized USB Solar Charging Kit- Description
-
Plug in your USB
Plug in any of your small USB powered devices to the battery pack to recharge them anywhere. Powerful enough to handle smartphones, readers and tablets.
Rechargeable Batteries
Kit includes four rechargeable AA batteries. Never waste your money or fill the landfill with Alkaline batteries again. Use them in the battery pack to power your USB devices or take batteries out and power your headlamp or remote control.
Charge from Solar
With 3.5 Watts of sun collection power this solar panel will charge the battery pack in about 6-8 hours. The mono-crystalline solar panel is the most efficient solar panel on the market. You can also recharge your power pack from a laptop.
Small and Compact
When folded up it is about the size of a wallet. It can open up and charge from your dashboard or hang from a backpack. Really just throw it out wherever you may be. You can't help but see it and think, what a cute little solar panel. - Specifications

Quality Price Value When Goal Zero uncovered a problem in the battery charging module, THEY contacted ME and, once I had confirmed that I owned an affected unit, they shipped me the brand new re-engineered unit at their expense and they also did not ask for the old one back. Since the old one only failed under specific circumstances, I now have two chargers that work just fine to use with my solar panel.
The Brunton chargers look interesting, but Goal Zero will always get first dibs on my hard-earned money. They work just as hard for it as I did.(Posted on 10/25/12)
