Questions & Answers
Several of us in the office own these packs (they're awesome!) and we've simply adjusted the pivot point to roughly match up with where we fall on the size scale. If you're on the upper end of the large scale (like you are with your 22.5" measurement), I would adjust the pivot about 3/4 to 4/5 of the way down. Someone at 20" I would say move it near the top. After a few hours on the trail you might need to make a quick adjustment up or down, and then you're set! It has a lot more to do with feel since there is such variation between body types. Thanks!
I am 5'9" and weigh about 155 lbs. I don't know my torso measurement but would you say the men's medium would be a good fit?
Thank you for your question.
While it can be tricky fitting a pack without a torso measurement, with your specs I would guess medium would be the way to go. There is also some room for adjustment with this pack, as the hipbelt can be adjusted up or down by several inches, which will allow you to dial in the fit.
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
