- Great crampons if you have the money
These great, versatile crampons. They are a bit pricey, but you might as well spend the extra and do it right the first time.
They are made of stainless, so they won't bend or rust, and they stay sharp. Swappable front point is a plus. They will keep you stuck in solid ice and won't ball up if you have to go through some snow.
With the long center bar (sold separately, but very cheap) you can even fit these bad boys on your monster size boots.
Really no drawbacks other than price.
Questions & Answers
Thank you for your question.
For boots that large, you would likely need to install the extended BD Long Flex Center Bar on those crampons, which can be found here: http://www.backcountrygear.com/crampons/black-diamond-long-flex-center-bar-silver-long.html
Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
Black Diamond sells an accessory "Long Center Bar" for the majority of their crampons (Cyborg included) that will easily stretch to fit even a duckbill telemark boot in size 13+. You might need to replace the standard center bar if you find there's not enough adjustment out of the box.
